Like John the Baptizer, I too had a moment in my life where I had my first encounter with God. God is always reaching out to people who are seeking him. We have this promise from him …
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
So like me, you can seek him.
As you watch the video ask yourself …
- How did John the Baptizer recognize who Yeshu (Jesus) was?
- What happens that convinces him?
When we seek him with all our heart and mind, God presents himself in a practical way in our lives. For John the Baptizer, he knew Yeshu was fulfilling a promise from the prophet Isaiah who had lived 700 years before. Through Isaiah, the Jews knew that one day a “Messiah” would come. John was looking for this Messiah to arrive who is Yeshu. Like John, I had a moment when I realised that Yeshu had arrived in my life.

Final thoughts
After my early encounters with God, I started to see things around me in a completely different way. I looked up at the stars and realised the power and splendour of God’s creative ability. I stepped to my garden and as I touched the roses and smelt their fragrance, suddenly I realised that the One who created them also created me. This was a wonderful experience. Even today it amazes me how God became so personal to me. I wish the same experience for you.
Remember this promise …
